Streb Open House Sep 18; Classes for Kids Sep 13–Dec 31
Posted August 4, 2010
UPDATE: 08/26/10 Free open house "amusement park" for families to preview the range of classes available for kids (18 months–18 years) who crave action and the cool parents who love them.
When: Saturday, September 18, noon–3pm
Where: SLAM (Streb Lab for Action Mechanics)
51 North 1st Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY
What: Streb at SLAM invites families from all over NYC to an Open House to preview the wide-ranging classes available to adventurous kids who want to take their action video game
experience to the next level: real time, real sweat, no machines, except the most interesting of all-the human body. There will be demonstrations of Streb's pop action technique by the superbly conditioned teachers (who are also performers) and trampoline and trapeze work as well. Soft drinks and popcorn will be available in this family-friendly carnival. It's a great chance to get a feel for StrebB at SLAM's populist, open-door vibe, which is based on the fact that the work is good and true and there's nothing to hide. The STREB Open House is a great way to see what the Kid Action classes are about, ask the instructors questions, and sign up for the fall semester.
Note: Posted as received.
