Clowning as an Inner Journey Feb 27–28

Clown Workshop for "Adults"
The clown experiences everything intensely: joy and sorrow, curiosity and hubris, courage and fear. But no matter what challenge life throws in clown's way—YES! is her/his answer. We fail with delight. We triumph in tiny achievements.
This workshop is not about clown routines, tricks, or gags. No acting or clowning experience is needed. You're invited on a safe personal journey that lets our challenges become opportunities, our mistakes celebrations, and our confusions states of enlightenment. In clowning we delight in life's paradoxes.
Through learning to deepen presence and by connecting to our playful spirit we can develop and sustain the heart to be who we truly are—to trust life, each other, and ourselves.
Taught by Laura Geilen and Benedicta Bertau of Walking the Dog Theater.
"Laughter is the shortest distance between two people."
