Election Day Clown Nose Making Workshop
Custom-fitted leather clown nose making two-day workshop
Having made well over 100 custom-fitted clown noses for clowns in the New York area and around the world, Stanley Allan Sherman will be teaching a two-day workshop: How to make your own custom-fitted leather clown nose.
In the class you will learn how to:
- Choose leather for the nose
- Prepare the leather for your nose
- Mold leather into your clown nose
- Sharpen the knife blade. You cannot cut leather with a dull knife.
- Fit your clown nose
- Cut you clown nose
- Paint and finish your clown nose
- Prepare and fit the elastic and string
One great thing about the leather clown nose is that it does not sweat as rubber or latex do, and it has a much more natural look and feel than rubber. Many clowns still use their custom-fitted leather clown nose 20 years later.
