Cody Schreger Workshops at Streb
Posted May 20, 2009
Note: This schedule updates the one we listed last month (Old Schedule). Posted as
received.
Open Level Aerial Silks
Thursdays 6–7pm & 7–8pm
A traditional silks class. Learn to suspend, drop, twist, and climb
in the widely popular, beautiful, and challenging world of aerial
silks. Silks is a wonderful way to build strength and stamina,
challenging both body and mind. This is an open-level class suitable
for students from the beginning through the advanced intermediate
level. Advanced and professional students seeking high-level skills
and choreography will likely be bored.
Lunch Break Aerials
Tuesdays 12–1pm
Explore the world of aerial artistry in this open level,
multi-apparatus class. The majority of class time will be spent on
aerial silks, however, we will also explore static trapeze, doubles
work, and lyra. This is an open-level class, however the focus will
be on building a strong foundation based on proper form and technique.
This class is perfect for someone just starting out in aerials or for
the more experienced student looking to solidify their skills. Even
professional dancers sometimes go to beginer ballet!
Stretch and Strengthen for Aerialists and Flyers
Saturdays 3–4pm
Utilizing techniques from circus, yoga, dance, gymnastics, and more
this class will prepare your body and give you the awareness you need
to take your skills to the next level. Although this class is geared
towards the flying trapeze enthusiast or aerialists, those looking for
a fun way to get in shape and improve range of motion are also
welcome. Come prepared to work hard!
WildCard Circus
Saturdays 4–5pm
Celebrate the diversity of circus arts with this multi-disciplinary
open level class. Each week the focus of this class will switch: from
tumbling and partner balancing to silks, lyra, and solo and duo
trapeze. This class is ideal for both students looking for a fun way
to get in shape and meet new friends and serious circus enthusiasts
looking to gain new skills, strength, and body awareness through the
power of cross training on variety of apparatus.
These are all open classes and will run every week dependent on
enrollment.
Don't see a class that suits you? Never fear: more classes and
workshops are always in the works and will be announced soon. Or
inquire about private, semi-private, and group lessons that can be
tailored to your desire and schedule.
