Posted March 9, 2009

Note: Brilliant jugglers with exceptional educational videos so
they're probably great teachers, and everyone who's been to the Barn
raves about it. Details posted as received.
Gandini Juggling: Combining Art & Technique
With Sean Gandini and Kati Yla-Hokkala
July 27-August 1, 2009
This 5-day juggling intensive will be run as a laboratory into
juggling patterns and ideas: it will look into ways of structuring and
choreographing juggling material, in addition to studying pure
technique. The workshop will be tailored to the participants. Each day
will start with a physical warm up and then include exploration of
some of the following:
- Relationship between music and juggling.
- Notations, their practical uses in solo and group (passing and
multi-handed juggling).
- Passing with clubs/rings.
- Multi-handed ball juggling.
- Ideas on technique: dwell times, body posture, throwing positions,
etc.
While Sean and Kati have been teaching versions of this workshop for
the last 15 years across the globe, this is their first teaching visit
to the USA!
TUITION: $750
This includes housing, lunch, and dinner.
