Clown Conservatory Auditions for 2009-10 School Year
PROFESSIONAL CLOWN TRAINING
The Clown Conservatory offers the only comprehensive professional clown training in North America. Clown Conservatory graduates WORK with top-level circus and theater companies throughout the United States and abroad, including Cirque Eloize, Cirque du Soleil, Circus Monti, The New Pickle Circus, Aga Boom, S.F. Shakespeare Company, Lunatique Fantastique, Woman's Will, and many other great companies.
SOCIAL CIRCUS PROGRAM
Social Circus is a growing international movement that uses circus arts to facilitate healing and social change. The Clown Conservatory Social Circus Program provides training in clowning and circus techniques and their application in work with people who are marginalized, have special needs, or are at social or personal risk. This yearlong program, in collaboration with our partners in schools, hospitals, and social service organizations, offers each student in-depth classes and field observation in multiple areas of social circus and clown performance, culminating with a mentored hands-on internship.
