Informal Clown Show FREE Jan 30
Posted January 29, 2011
Note: Details posted as received, but the lateness is all my (Viveca's) fault. Sorry. I've got a flu. See details on the workshop this is the culmination of here.
Jane Nichols and Bronwyn Sims teamed up this month to teach a clown workshop in NYC (actually Brooklyn). We have been having a grand time for three weekends learning physical virtuosic skills and playing in the wonderful world of the clown. This Sunday, we're planning to do a showing of the work. It would be lovely to have a friendly and supportive audience for the showing.
We've jumped rope, thrown sticks, and done shoulder stands, handstands, stood on each other, forward rolls, backward rolls 108s et al! Some of it has led to funny bits. Some of it hasn't led anywhere but to delight and terror. By Sunday we anticipate some order to the chaos.
If you're in NYC this Sunday and want some good laughs, come!
When:
Tomorrow, Sunday January 30, 5:30pm
Where:
Triskelion Arts
118 North 11 Street, 3rd floor
Brooklyn, NY 11211

It's free, which is as it should be, since at this very moment there is no show… only a lot of really funny, stupid stuff that's been thrown about the room ex tempore.
