A Nightmare on North First Street

CircusNYCA Halloween aerial circus benefit for SLAM's Kids In Control Program

The Streb Lab for Action Mechanics and the Españ/Streb Trapeze Academy announce A Nightmare on North First Street—a circus benefit performance in support of the SLAM Kids in Control (KIC) program.

These Halloween-inspired shows combine the flavor of the season with aerial acts of wonder! Participants are encouraged to arrive in costume. This day of aerial circus shows will be performed by SLAM and España Streb staff as well as student aerialists and professional circus and aerial performers from throughout the tri-state area.

When:
The three Halloween-themed benefit shows will take place on Saturday, October 17 at 3pm and 7pm (kid friendly) and 11pm (adult-only burlesque show 18 and older).

Where:
SLAM (the Streb Lab for Action Mechanics) is located at 51 North 1st Street between Wythe and Kent in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's the first stop in Brooklyn on the L train.

Tickets: Admission for the kid friendly shows is $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
Admission for the 11pm Burlesque show is $22.

There will be raffle prizes including a 50/50 drawing and a bake sale to boost the fundraising efforts for this great cause. Donation sheets are available to help send a KIC child to Kid Fly for a semester.

Tickets available at streb.org

About Kids in Control:
KIC is a partnership program between Streb Lab for Action Mechanics and the Greenpoint YMCA's Kids in Control. This partnership provides the opportunity for underprivileged children from the Williamsburg area to increase self esteem and empowerment. It gives them a greater awareness of identity through the experience that our Kid Fly and Kid Action programs provide. Donations in support of these benefit shows is very much appreciated and contributes to the continuity of these important offerings to the community. We thank you for your continued support!
