The Maestrosities: Caught in the Zipper May 5
Posted April 21, 2008

Note: The Maestrosities were a crowd favorite at Juggle This last month, and now their star's still on the way up. Next month they launch a new monthly variety show, designed to be more Muppet Show and less Ed Sullivan, and the premiere's got a terrific cast. And just to gild the lily, it's all taking place at the best venue in the city. Could be great. Posted as received.

Here's something new and exciting from your favorite character-driven cover band:

What:
The Maestrosities: Caught in the Zipper!
The inmates run the asylum when The Maestrosities host their own monthly variety show at the Zipper Factory's all new "Open Fly" studio cabaret. Each month will feature a line-up of NYC's best variety entertainment. The band will delight you with hilarious musical tributes to Madonna, Herb Alpert, The Jackson Five, Richard Strauss, and John Williams, played on tuba, ukulele, accordion, trumpet, clarinet and spoons.

Who:
Our special guest star this month is The Queen of New York City Burlesque, Julie Atlas Muz! Other guests include former Flying Karamazov Brother and official court jester of Muncaster England, Paolo Garbanzo and the winner of the People's Choice Award for best performer at the Windsor International Busker Festival, Magic Brian.

Tickets are $10
Online: thezipperfactory.com
