Angel Vera Memorial & Request

Very sad news for the circus community: on Tuesday, acrobat and
aerialist Jose Angel Vera fell to his death while performing on aerial
chains at a corporate event in Scottsdale, AZ. Vera, who was 31, grew
up in Mexico, moved to San Diego as a teenager, and joined the NY
circus community last year. He was a third generation performer.Our
deepest condolences to his family and friends.
A fund has been established to help Vera's family with the costs of
returning the body to San Diego and funeral expenses. Donations can be
taken to any Washington Mutual Bank for account No. 4114663803 in
Vera's name. Checks can be mailed to Washington Mutual, P.O. Box
659588, San Antonio, Texas 78265; note Vera's name and account number
on the check.
