Circus Amok Seeks Support

Greetings from Circus AMOK!
The Circus needs your help!! Usually we send a snail mail appeal, but
we want to save money and we want to save trees!!! Emails tend to
disappear into a long long list of other emails. A snail mail appeal
lays around on your desk while you ponder how much you want to give.
But we at Circus AMOK are ever hopeful! Support free art in the park
and don't let this email fall out of sight...donate now!
That's right...
The Circus needs your help!
With the economy in a slump, funding for arts programs is being
dramatically cut across the board. We find ourselves unable to rely
on the foundations and government agencies that have funded us
throughout the years. We need your help now more than ever.
Each year, individual donations become more and more a part of the
Circus's survival. A donation of $5,000 brings Circus AMOK to five
new parks each season. A donation of $1,000 affords us the
opportunity to purchase new acrobatic equipment. $500 buys an entire
season's worth of costumes and fabric. A donation of $100 rents us
rehearsal space for a week.
Big or small, every donation matters!
If everyone gave just $20, and we counted up all that money (like we
counted up those votes back in November), a little could become a lot,
lot more. Your support ensures that Circus AMOK will continue to
bring loud, in-your-face, celebratory queer spectacle--all of it
absolutely free--to public spaces throughout New York City for many
more seasons to come.
