June is loaded with fantastic circus opportunities:
Take a workshop. Options include a Commedia dell'Arte summer intensive to private lessons with Rodleigh Stevens. Since Commedia
is rooted in the sixteenth century and Rodleigh is making a rare
appearance from Australia, you could say those options take you
through time and space. Check out the links at right for more workshop
options.
See a show. Brooklyn's House of Yes hosts the
premiere of Animalia as well as Cirque
du Quoi, which is getting great reviews. The Anti-Depressant
Festival at the Brick includes a number of clown shows (including …and the fear cracked open. and Shaden, Freude and You). If you'd prefer
something more mainstream, we've got ticket discounts to Cirque du
Soleil's Kooza, and Ringling Brothers' Gold Unit is
about to open Boom-A-Ring on Coney Island.
