1. New Forum for JuggleNYC.com Volunteer Requests
We've spent years debating with ourselves (but seldom between
ourselves) whether to list requests for volunteer performers on our
Jobs/Gigs page, separately, or at all. On the one hand we want to send
a strong message that variety artists are and should be treated as
professionals. On the other hand, we don't want to censor anyone's
opportunities, even if other people make choices that we wouldn't. Now
we hope we've found a solution.
On the Jobs/Gigs page, we will list
paid gigs, theatrical collaborations, and any other requests that we
determine may have promotional or other value. We will refer anyone
seeking volunteer performers to post their own listing on the
JuggleNYC.com Message Board in a new forum called Volunteer Requests.
Eventually we will probably do something similar for CircusNYC.com. In
the meantime, we welcome all feedback.
2. Show Recommendation: NY Goofs America's Got Clowns
This is a rare opportunity to see a great group of clowns, and it's

4. Carmine Jugglers Temporary Changes
The at-least annual Hoops & Leaders Tournament is once again
displacing the Carmine Street Jugglers. There will be no juggling club
meetings at the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center on Monday, August 4;
Thursday, August 7; or Thursday, August 14, but awesome Ray at the
Rec. Center is letting us juggle there Fridays instead. Here's the
summary:
Monday, August 4: No juggling club
Thursday, August 7: No juggling club
Friday, August 8: Juggling club 7 - 9:45pm
Monday, August 11: Juggling club 7:30 - 9:45pm
Thursday, August 14: No juggling club
Friday, August 15: Juggling club 7 - 9:45pm
After that, we return to our regular Monday and Thursday nights.
