TRAINING
Rhythmic Gymnastics Sep 7
Posted August 30, 2017
So you wanna be a rhythmic gymnast?

Have you always been fascinated by how those rhythmic gymnasts crank their leg up behind their head, magically let it go, while it mystifyingly continues to float by their ear? Come work hard, work smart, and deep stretch for a good cause. We'll work your active, dynamic, and passive flexibility. The last portion of class will be used to to address individual needs for flexibility or contortion skills you're working on.

Instructor Olga Karmansky is a US champion and two-time pan-American champion in rhythmic gymnastics. Official Olympic alternate, Athens, Greece.

She currently works to improve the flexibility of professional ballet dancers, acrobats, and competitive pole dancers and also enjoys teaching privately to beginners of all levels. Olga formed her advanced but egalitarian training philosophy while living and training with the Russian Olympic team, and believes her students will achieve extreme results regardless of age, previous injury, or level of experience.

Performance highlights include original cast Broadway revival of Pippin, The Tempest (Shakespeare In The Park), Panic at the Disco tour (MTV Music Video of The Year), Gymnastics Superstars Tour (USA Post-Olympic Gymnastics Tour), the Venice Biennale International Art Festival (Venice, Italy), Slumber (House of Yes).

She holds a B.S. in applied psychology from New York University.
