ABOUT THE SHOW
From the moment we arrive, the show begins.
Circus Bella is a traditionally staged, one-ring, outdoor circus featuring high quality contemporary acts set to original music played by a live, innovative band. We present precarious antics amidst physical prowess. We value the legacy from which we come as individuals and as a company. We pride ourselves on our commitment to integrity in our creative and business process.
Circus Bella was founded in Spring 2008 by David Hunt and Abigail Munn. Under our direction and propelled by a core ensemble, we have performed at a handful of public and private events in San Francisco and beyond including Indy Arts and Media 2008 Expo for Independent Arts, Bernal Height's Fiesta on the Hill, San Francisco Zoo's Ice Dreams Fundraiser, and Dry Creek Passport Weekend in Healdsburg.
Abigail Munn performed in her youth with the Pickle Family Circus. She has performed with Zoppe Circus, New Pickle Circus, The Va-Va-Voom Room, Circus Cabaret, Velvet Hammer and more. She is a classically trained dancer and static trapeze artist. She is also the co-director of the San Francisco Kitties, three-time Best of the Bay Winning nouveau-vaudeville troupe.
David Hunt has performed with New Pickle Circus, Zoppe Circus, Gregangelo's Velocity Circus, Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, and more. His is co-founder of the New Orleans School of Circus Arts, and is active in youth circus as a coach for the Prescott Circus Theater in Oakland and as a board member of the American Youth Circus Organization.
