Clown Parade Seeks Musicians, Performers September 5
Posted August 12, 2008
Note: The Clown Theater Festival has been consistently great, and word on the
street is that the opening day Clown Parade is a lot of fun. If you
volunteer, you are guaranteed to meet some of the silliest people in
the city. Posted as received.
The 3rd Annual opening-day Clown Parade for the New York International
Clown Theater Festival is looking for Musicians! We are specifically
looking for marching band musicians (bass drums, horns, trumpets,
etc.) to create a fanfare and a chari-vari like atmosphere to lead our
parade through Williamsburg. There's no pay but there will be lots of
press and it's always a very unique and fun event. Any and all other
types of performers (jugglers, unicyclists, stiltwalkers, etc. etc.)
are invited as well. You can either contact Jeff at jeffseal237@gmail.com or just show up the day
of.
INFO: On Friday Sept. 5th at 4:30pm we will gather at Union Square
Park, ride the "L" train to the Bedford stop, then march to The Brick
Theater (575 Metropolitan Ave.) for a massive public pie fight. Red
noses and pies will be handed out. The pie fight will be followed by a
free Cabaret previewing festival highlights.
